Ex=library with usual stamps and protective plastic cover. A few pages loose but all present. Seems to be a different book from Jenny McRobert, Silver Samovar. Thus book about a privileged Jewish family caught up in the Russian Revolution. Author was 7 at the time. Family left Russia for England in 1924 after Lenin's death when situation got more dangerous. Now a distinguished family in the UK incl. Stephen Poliakoff (theatre director) and Martin Poliakoff (a knighted chemist). Illustrations. Quoted postage for UK 2nd class. Overseas more. Somehow the ISBN is listed for reprint of the pre-1902 Index Catalogue of the Gorbals District Library (which my mother might have consulted after the Great War). Quoted postage for UK 2nd class.
