From the universe of The Incal, soon to be a major motion picture from Taika Waititi (Thor: Love and Thunder, JoJo Rabbit, Our Flag Means Death) . A dark, sensual thriller following the origin of one of the Metabaron's greatest enemies, the Simak!
The Moon of Hesperia: Phoenix, a gifted but amnesiac policeman witnesses the murder of his teammate. His investigation leads him to Solar Corona, the city-planet of all debauchery, where he crosses paths with the Simaks – transhumans originally designed for prostitution, who were supposed to have been eradicated as a result of repeated bugs. However, they discovered something much more sinister in their technology.
In the heart of this violent and corrupt universe, his thirst for justice will lead Phoenix on a trail to discover the Simaks' origins and their capacity for destruction.

Jean-Michel Ponzio graduated in 1985 from a patent of Technician Draftsman Modeling in Marseille. He went on to study advertising communications at the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Arts Appliqués and Arts Métiers in Paris and added to his curriculum a patent of Technician Superior in visual expression. His first short film, aller retour (round-trip) went on to win an award at the Gérardmer Festival in 1991. After earning a diploma of advanced study in "digital imaging" at the CNBDI in Angoulême, he won the first INA pixel award in the student category at the Imagina show in Monaco. From 1996 to 2000, he worked first at Ghost, on the Insektors series, then at Buf company on the development of scenery and design for various film and advertising productions. In 2012, he succeeded Paul Gillon to complete the series The Order of Cicero, Volume 4 Glénat editions. Also at Glénat, 2 volumes of Black Lord appear in 2014 on a screenplay by Guillaume Dorison. He signed a deal with Dargaud, again with Richard Marazano, to develop The Pelican Protocol and Memoirs of the Civil War. In addition to a busy cartoonist activity, the author continues to design sets for feature film projects for film and commercials. (Most recently Valerian Luc Besson).
