See photos for condition details. Hardcover, paper covered boards with leather to spine. The exterior shows a lot of chipping to the edges, as well as the leather - which has numerous areas of cracks and portions missing. Is also an ex-library copy, with the only indication of this being a label from the search of Cumberland County, PA. The internal binding is good, no hinge cracks but some pulling is present. There are some condition issues: there is penciled handwriting on the last end page and additional penciling on numerous pages (pages 7, 34, 54-58, and possibly others that we did not find). Page 15 also has a large tape repair as well as some crimping, with the tape also present on the backside on page 16. Page 49 also has a small corner chip, which is well outside of the text area. There is also scattered spotting and stains present. Despite all of this, the book is still very usable and good for reference. The only publication date shown is 1858, which belongs to Ivison and Phinney.…
