She spent seven years as a hospice volunteer. Her writing and motivational speaking contain insights drawn from the families with whom she was privileged to work. In addition to her skills as an author and speaker, Gail is the president of an interior design firm that specializes in helping its clients to create surroundings that nurture their spirits and support the lives they lead.
She was born in Michigan and is a graduate of Michigan State University. The oldest of five children, she has two grown children, four grandchildren and a life partner who is a jazz musician and classic sailboat builder.
