Simply the Math: A Visual Framework to Help Students Build a Solid Understanding of Mathematical Operations for K8

This full-colour book looks at classroom-tested flexible and visual ways to help students go beyond memorization and really work with numbers. Committed to using the power of visual representations, the book presents a pathway for developing strong operational skills that students can build on. The back-to-basics approach to teaching foundational operations will guide students to develop their own ways of doing math that work for them. It demonstrates that using visuals can make small number facts the foundation for operating with larger numbers, negative numbers, decimals, fractions, and proportions. A new simplified approach to addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
