About the Author
Jeffrey S. Smith est professeur en Ingenierie Industrielle et Systeme a l'Universite de Auburn. En plus de ses fonctions d'enseignant, il a ete ingenieur chez Electronic Data Systems (EDS) et Philip Morris USA. Dr. Smith a obtenu un BS (Licence) en Ingenierie Industrielle de l'Universite de Auburn puis un Master (MS) et un PhD en Ingenierie Industrielle de l'Universite de Pennsylvania State.
David T. Sturrock est Vice-president Operations de Simio LLC. Il a la responsabilite de la conception, du developpement, du support et des services des produits de simulation et d'ordonnancement de Simio LLC. Dans cette fonction, il ne manage pas seulement le developpement de nouveaux produits, mais aussi enseigne lors de frequentes formations commerciales et gere de nombreux projets de conseil. Il enseigne la simulation a l'Universite de Pittsburgh. Avec plus de 30 ans d'experience, il a applique la simulation dans les domaines de la production, et de la logistiques
Frederic Pereyrol est diplome de l'Universite de Montpellier ou il a passe sa these en 1993 apres trois ans de travail sur l'interaction Produit/Procede dans le laboratoire d'Informatique, de Robotique et de Micro-electronique de Montpellier (Lirmm). Ce travail a ete mene en collaboration avec la Societe Famic-Eurilor de Nancy. Il est, depuis 1994, Maitre de Conferences dans l'Universite de Bordeaux dans le departement Qualite, Logistique Industrielle et Organisation (QLIO), ou il enseigne l'informatique, l'automatique et la simulation de flux. Il est membre du Laboratoire de l'Integration du Materiau au Systeme (IMS) de Bordeaux dans le groupe Integration des Systemes.
