Sinclair and His Excellent Plaid Paws

ON THE FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL ... Sinclair, a young teddy bear with handsome plaid paws, tells his teacher he s feeling discombobulated. She invites Sinclair to the front of class to explain the meaning of such a large word. Some teddy bears begin to giggle and to make fun of his plaid paws. For the first time in his life, he feels different than other bears. As Sinclair struggles to understand his classmate's bigotry, his teacher helps Sinclair and his classmates realize that differences make all of us special, and make life more interesting. With illustrations by newcomer Brandon Waltman, this is a gentle lesson about respect and acceptance, and the true meaning of beauty and diversity.
