Synopsis
We live in a 'full plate' society. Everybody is going full-speed. We all wear different hats and thrive on multi-tasking. One of the side effects of this busy lifestyle is that our stress levels are sky-high. For some of you, singing may be a stress-buster. Singing is one of the most therapeutic ways to relieve stress and have fun. Even if you do not aspire to become a professional, Andrea Vibe believes everyone can improve. Maybe your goal is just to sing 'kumbaya' at the campfire, or your favorite hymn at church. Everyone would like to sing and not be told, "Dear, singing is not your gift. Why not give tennis a try?" On the other hand, perhaps you are already a great singer, but you've run into some challenges. Now, you feel stuck. Andrea has news for you: Even professionals run into vocal trouble. A statistic was done that stated for every three hundred performances a professional singer gives, he or she is only completely satisfied with five of those performances. Andrea Vibe's experience as a performer, and an instructor, tells her that statistic is correct. Sometimes singers spend a fortune on singing lessons, but they still feel as if they are making little or no progress. Often the problems they are facing only require a quick fix. That's the purpose of this book. Andrea has been involved with singing her entire life, as a student, a professional singer and as a singing instructor. She is aware of the most common problems that singers face. She also knows that many of those problems can be solved with simple changes to some aspect of what you are doing. This book is filled with easy-to-follow tips to help you correct common errors that singers make. Andrea wants you to be able to enjoy singing, whatever your level of ability is. Singing should be fun, and the better you are at it, the more fun it will be! Without a doubt, singing well takes effort. A great singer has to create a beautiful voice by perfecting a combination of notes, rhythm, pitch, and resonance. Then a singer must use everything they have to connect with a listener's heart. Good vocal technique is important. But equally important is the psychological process. Successful singers need the whole package. Andrea's hope is that you will use the tips in "Sing With Confidence: Quick and Easy Tips To Help You Shine" to become the singer you want to be. When you work to achieve the whole package, you will sing with confidence-and you will certainly shine!
