Slightly smaller book, dark brown cloth with ornate embossed design on front and back with a thin embossed border, spine too, gilt lettering rubbed but somewhat bright still, very slight foxing to early and final end papers, 233 lightly browned pages plus 12-page catalog, ink stamp at top first front end paper, pencil note dated 1852. Front tips worn, two microtears at spine top edge, very tiny nick at spine bottom edge, light wear to bottom back tip. Signed by Francis D. Barlow, Brigadier General of the 61st New York Volunteers, who fought with the 11th Corps, 1st Division at Gettysburg. Near Very Good.
