The Sisters and the Sword Format: Paperback

A dark and mesmerizing retelling of Camelot—where magic and destiny entwine with sibling rivalries, forbidden love, and looming rebellion.

Morgause rules as Queen of Orkney. Her doting husband is oblivious of her dalliances, and most everyone is ignorant of her sorcery training and the dark magic she can now wield. Her sister, Morgan, is next in line to become Lady of the Lake, and, together, they are a force to be reckoned with.

When an unknown, modest youth named Arthur pulls the sword they enchanted from the stone at an honorary tournament for the deceased Uther Pendragon, the two sisters gather their considerable power to thwart him. Merlin has been preparing for Arthur’s kingship for years, but even he doesn’t realize the extent of the sisters’ hatred for their half-brother, born of his father Uther’s violation of their mother. So begins a plot to bring Arthur down, but Arthur, traveling the country and counseled by Merlin, grows in confidence and in his determination to reign as King, no matter the cost.

Sam Davey’s next in this powerful series is a deliciously dark retelling that will cast a spell over fans of the Arthurian legend and historical fantasy fans everywhere.
