Sitayan: The Shadow of The Flame

Sitayan – The Shadow of the Flame is not merely a retelling of the Ramayana, but a theatrical journey into the inner world of Sita — a woman of strength, silence, sacrifice, and unshaken dignity. Rooted in tradition yet speaking to contemporary sensibilities, the play seeks to bridge generations by presenting the timeless epic through human emotions and lived experiences. Without altering the essence of the original narrative, Sitayan invites audiences to rediscover familiar moments with fresh eyes and to reflect upon questions of identity, duty, love, and resilience that remain deeply relevant even today.
