Sitto's Table, The Next Generation of Syrian Cooks, takes us on a heartfelt journey that brings traditional Aleppo dishes into today's kitchens. Author Janice Jweid Reed continues to honor her family's heritage in this latest cookbook which features dishes prepared with vibrant Aleppo spices, fresh vegetables, grains, hearty meats, and luscious sweets. 

Younger Arab generations, who weren't fortunate enough to have followed their mothers or grandmothers in their own kitchens, will be delighted to see these mouth-watering dishes recreated once again. Today's cooks will still be able to create traditional recipes with ease, utilizing accessible ingredients, updated tools, and simplified methods.

As in her previous cookbooks, recipe titles are in both English and Arabic, along with the basic recipes that are the backbone of the Syrian cook's kitchen. More than 95 recipes and 100 photos of Middle Eastern dishes are compiled in this new and inviting tour of traditionally preserved, yet approachable, Syrian cooking.

The Author writes.... "Sitto's Table still holds those treasured recipes, traditions, memories, and smiles for so many of us today. That long-ago table we once sat around in Sitto's kitchen was the start of her legacy. She and Giddo, my grandfather, began their family in the early 1920's, bringing their Syrian heritage and traditions to America. Now, so many years later, that table is but a memory carried in our hearts as a tribute to their loving gifts. That heritage is now lived on in the Arab foods still prepared and served on our family's table by our next generation of Syrian cooks.
