Slipper Plays Catch

It's a rainy day, and Slipper and Buddy are forced to stay inside. They decide to play catch . . . and end up breaking a vase! Luckily, no one got hurt, but Slipper and Buddy found themselves facing a big dilemma. Will they tell a lie or speak the truth?
“Slipper Plays Catch” is the second book in a series of Slipper and Friends books by Tess Rixen, a fourteen-year-old author who devotes most of her time to writing, and not nearly enough time to piano practicing.
Parents, this beautifully illustrated story is a perfect way to teach children about the importance of honesty. You can use it as a starting point for a discussion with your child about why people lie, why they shouldn't and how to go about making the right choices.

Tess Rixen is a fourteen-year-old author who devotes most of her time to writing, and not nearly enough time to piano playing. The inspiration for Slipper books comes from a list of rules she made in late 2009, when she was around 7 or 8. She just moved from Georgia to Connecticut with her family, and list of rules was her way of inserting some order in a bit scary, unknown and new environment. Even though... she wasn't very good at spelling at the time, Tess had lots of fun writing the 'rules'. She follows them to this day!
