About this title

Synopsis:

Jessel Miller (born 1949 Ontario, Canada) is an American watercolor artist and children's writer. In 1984 she opened the Jessel Gallery in Napa, California. It began with 300 square feet and 30 artists and 15 years later, the gallery is 9,000 square feet and is 300 artists strong. She writes and illustrates children's books. Believing that art belongs to everyone and is in everyone, Jessel's doors are open to kids and animals as well as wayfaring tourists and locals, many of whom come in strangers and leave having made a new and dear friend. THE SLOW DOWN BOOK offers simple direction for slowing the pace and maneuvering the maze called Life. Consider this simple truth. The best guidance comes from within, heard only in the stillness of the mind. How do you hear your inner guidance, or trust your intuition, you ask. By slowing down. Being quiet. Asking questions, listening and watching for answers. Jessel, the author and illustrator, hears this guidance and learns that slowing down take sincere hard work and commitment. It is a lifestyle choice leaned in small measure, step-by-step. Create Beauty.......Be Gentle With your Spirit.......Be Wise and Choose the Calmest Road.
