Dr. Michael Townsley is special assistant for finance to the president at Becker College in Worcester, Massachusetts. Formerly a senior consultant at Stevens Strategy, he has provided financial strategies and forecasts to many private institutions. Townsley served as president of the Pennsylvania Institute of Technology (where he implemented a strategic curriculum redesign) and senior vice president for finance and administration at Wilmington College. Among his other authored works for NACUBO are The Small College Guide to Financial Health: Beating the Odds and The Financial Toolbox for Colleges and Universities. Townsley holds a Ph.D. from the University of Pennsylvania.
