Peter Afflerbach, Ph.D., is a Professor of Reading in the Department of Teaching and Learning, Policy and Leadership at the University of Maryland. His research includes focus on reading comprehension on strategies and processes, verbal reporting, reading in Internet and hypertext environments, and mindfulness. Adria F. Klein, Ph.D., is a sought-after educational speaker, author, and expert in literacy instruction; author of childrens books; and director of a center focused on early literacy intervention at Saint Marys College of California. Barbara Andrews has worked as a classroom teacher, ESL teacher, and district instructional facilitator. Barbara holds a B.A. in Education from Trinity University, an M.A. in Education from the University of Texas, and an M.A. in Reading from Texas Womans University.
