Smart Computing Paradigms: Human-centric Systems for Sustainable Development, Proceedings of Seventh International Conference on Smart Computing and Informatics Sci 2025: Vol 4

This book presents best-selected papers presented at the 7th International Conference on Smart Computing and Informatics (SCI 2025), held at the School of Engineering and Technology (SET), Sunway University, Selangor, Malaysia, during 8 – 9 April 2025. It presents advanced and multidisciplinary research towards the design of smart computing and informatics. The theme is on a broader front and focuses on various innovation paradigms in system knowledge, intelligence and sustainability that may be applied to provide realistic solutions to varied problems in society, environment and industries. The scope is also extended towards the deployment of emerging computational and knowledge transfer approaches, optimizing solutions in various disciplines of science, technology and healthcare. The work is published in four volumes.

Vikrant Bhateja is associate professor in Department of Electronics Engineering, Faculty of Engineering and Technology (UNSIET), Veer Bahadur Singh Purvanchal University, Jaunpur, Uttar Pradesh, India. He is also serving as Head: Computer Sc. Engg. & Information Technology in the same university. He holds a doctorate in ECE (Bio-Medical Imaging) with a total academic teaching experience of 21 years with around 190 publications in reputed international conferences, journals and online book chapter contributions; out of which 40 papers are published in SCIE indexed high impact factored journals. One of his papers published in Review of Scientific Instruments (RSI) Journal (under American International Publishers) has been selected as “Editor Choice Paper of the Issue'' in 2016. He has been Editor-in-Chief of IGI Global--International Journal of Natural Computing and Research (IJNCR) journal from 2017-22. He is guest editor in journals like: Elsevier: Measurement, Springer: Evolutionary Intelligence. He is Senior Member of IEEE and Life Member of CSI.

Angela Lee Siew Hoong is Deputy Dean (Employability & Alumni) at the School of Engineering and Technology, Sunway University, Malaysia. Prof Angela Lee has been developing data science curriculum more than 10 years, and she is the key person to introduce Data Science degree at Sunway University. She was recently awarded the National Outstanding Educator Award and SAS Global Forum Distinguished Educator Award for Asia Pacific Category. She regularly speaks at data science conferences. Angela has developed many innovative ways to use analytics and data science tools from the most elementary level to advanced analytics. She teaches Social Media Analytics, Visual Analytics, Advanced Analytics and Business Intelligence and has authored many published international journals in the area of churn analytics, sentiment analysis and predictive analytics.

William Yeoh is a professor at Hong Kong Metropolitan University's Lee Shau Kee School of Business and Administration. Previously, he served as an associate professor at Deakin University's Deakin Business School and was the Innovation Head of Deakin Cyber Research and Innovation Centre. He has successfully supervised 7 doctoral and 10 master theses. He is the Editor-in-Chief Emeritus of the International Journal of Business Intelligence Research and the Big Data and Analytics Educational Conference Co-Chair. At Deakin University, he has served as Director of the IBM Centre of Excellence in Business Analytics, Co-Director of the Faculty's Business and Technology Theme, Course Director, Director of Teaching, and Department's Director of International, Director of Industry Engagement, and HDR Coordinator.

Zaid Omar (Senior Member, IEEE) received the master’s degree in data communications from The University of Sheffield and the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from the Imperial College London, in 2012. He is currently an Associate Professor with Universiti Teknologi Malaysia. His research interests include computer vision, medical imaging, and image fusion. Dr. Omar was crowned the best science communicator for FameLab Malaysia 2017-- one of the biggest science communication competitions in the world organised by British Council.
