The active suspension system has a great performance for shock and vibration isolation. The problem itself is complicated, particularly when a full vehicle and nonlinearity are taken into account. About the Author

Dr. Weiji Wang obtained MEng (1982) and DEng (1986) from Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, DPhil (1994) from University of Oxford. Since 1998, he has been a faculty member of School of Engineering and Informatics, University of Sussex, England.
