Michael G. Strawser is an Associate Professor in the Nicholson School of Communication and Media at the University of Central Florida and the Director of Community Engaged Scholarship for UCF Downtown. He earned his Ph.D. in instructional communication from the University of Kentucky in 2015. His research interests include communication pedagogy, faculty development, organizational communication, and generational dynamics in the workplace. He has published multiple books and articles on teaching and learning in higher education and frequently presents at national and international conferences.
Russell Carpenter, Ph.D., is Assistant Provost and Professor of English at Eastern Kentucky University. Carpenter also serves as Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Faculty Development. He is a columnist for the National Teaching & Learning Forum. Articles have appeared in Change: The Magazine of Higher Education, Journal of Excellence in College Teaching and Learning, International Journal for Students as Partners, Learning Communities Journal, and Journal on Excellence in College Teaching among others.
