The Smart Set: Correspondence & Conversations

The "Smart Set" was a term used to describe a group of fashionable and intellectually inclined individuals, often associated with high society and the arts. Fitch, himself a member of this social circle, collected letters and conversations from various members of the Smart Set, providing readers with insights into their lives, thoughts, and interactions. The correspondence and conversations featured in the book cover a wide range of topics, including literature, theater, politics, and social issues. Through these exchanges, readers can gain a deeper understanding of the cultural trends and intellectual debates of the era, as well as the personalities of the individuals involved.
