Katie Coates lives in Southern California with her family. As a child, she lived with her family all over the United States. She has also lived and worked in Northern Italy and in West Berlin.She is a mom, walker, dancer, avid reader, and she loves to travel.  She earned her BA in Political Science at the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey (California), and studied acting at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts in Winston Salem, North Carolina.
