Snowplows and Aliens follows Réjean Gauthier, a seasoned snowplow operator, as he battles a brutal 2022 winter storm on Ontario’s Highway 11. Amid blinding snow and isolation, the night takes a surreal turn when Réjean encounters an unearthly machine and a tall, shimmering figure untouched by the storm’s fury. The snow pounds his truck, time slips, and he wakes in the depot yard with no memory of returning, his vehicle battered and his faith shaken. Narrated by his niece, Danielle Tremblay, a bilingual teen piecing together his fragmented tale, the story blends gritty realism with cosmic mystery. Réjean’s haunting experience—shared only with Danielle—explores fear, shame, and the search for truth in a frozen, unforgiving north where the line between reality and the unknown blurs.
