Poor paper, browning with first few pages loose and cracked at hinges. Binding tight. Scarce work on prostitution in Chicago detailing the extent of the problem, its causes and proposals for control and management. Very detailed. Book was distributed by the American Vigilance Association whose purpose "shall be to suppress and prevent commercialized vice, and to promote the highest standard of public and private morals." A pamphlet from the Association is enclosed. Pages are fragile but book is complete.
