8vo, pp. xviii, 607, [3]; black imitation leather boards, gilt title on cover and spine; boards bumped, a couple dozen pages with underlining and annotation in pencil, mostly in the "Marriage and the Family" chapter and penciled index in lower endpapers, text otherwise clean and sound, very good. Lamson was a lecturer on social problems at the University of Shanghai.
