Society's Anonymous: The True 12 Steps To Recovery From What Brings Us Down

At this moment, one in every ten Americans is experiencing what is known as depression; and each year the diagnosis rate increases by twenty percent. On average, someone commits suicide every thirteen minutes in the United States, making it the tenth leading cause of death. All over the world society struggles with mental health conditions. While most doctors, practitioners, and psychiatrists continue to prescribe drugs to 'treat' symptoms of sadness, they fail to address the root problems that generate this disharmony. We are not simply depressed. We are experiencing the symptoms of being inactive. We are feeling the side effects of drinking excessive amounts of alcohol; eating overloads of processed and genetically modified (GMOs) foods; ingesting too many prescription drugs; overexposure to chemicals; playing the role of the victim who was dealt the wrong hand by biology and genetics; severe dehydration; smoking cigarettes; and trading our happiness for dollar values. We harbor lousy attitudes, carry pessimistic views, and have a distorted perception of reality. We trade nourishment for convenience and fill our bellies with meals that often do not contain real food. We do not drink enough water. We are consumed by a fast-paced world, and trapped in an illusion of prosperity and wealth. We are being deceived by powerful industries that rely on our misfortunes, so-called depression, and weaknesses in order for them to accumulate staggering increases in profits annually. The mainstream media refuses to empower us by hiding relevant issues surrounding our health, and brainwashing us with mistruths and propaganda provided by corporations that are exploiting us for revenue. We are watching life pass us by while failing to truly live. In the contents of this book, we learn how to generate positive thoughts that attract happiness. We are enlightened with information that teaches us how to cleanse internally from all of the negativity we are drowning in. We realize that genetics can be controlled with diet and lifestyle, and that our biological make-up can be improved. We discover how to eat real food, and drink nutrient-rich liquids that will preserve a healthy microbiome. We are granted the opportunity to gain our relationship back with nature and remove ourselves from the synthetic environment that is limiting our potential. We are taught to avoid overexposure to chemicals. We find motivation to engage in physical activity. We are encouraged to acquire new hobbies, build on our talents, expand our intellect, gain substance, and strengthen our character. We understand our connection with everything around us and begin to live with compassion. We determine why it is important to choose wisely who we associate with, and only treat others with love and respect. We are guided in the direction of our dharma, and unearth our purpose in life. We devise an action plan and start making changes that free us from our sorrows. We are driven to encourage others to improve every facet of their lives, and we share our new joys with those we love. These guidelines serve a purpose of improving society. We start by correcting ourselves. Once recovered, we heal everyone around us. Together we can make the world a better place. Welcome to Society's Anonymous.

Jesse Jacoby is a loving father, brother, son, grandson, cousin, nephew, uncle, and friend who enjoys spending time with his family, navigating what remains of the North American forests, observing wildlife, organic farming, playing in nature, preparing raw organic plant-based meals, raising awareness about environmental issues, running the trails in the state parks, exercising, reading and researching, acquiring knowledge, writing, music, playing guitar, coaching others back to health, and helping everyone around him elevate their consciousness and pursue their passions.

His wish is to one day live in a compassionate world where people no longer eat animals; wild animals roam free without hunters trying to shoot them; oil is obsolete and remains underground; logging is banned; dams are removed from the rivers; fracking does not exist; GMOs and food chemicals are erased from the food supply; prescription drugs, vaccines, cigarettes, and alcohol disappear; cleaning chemicals, herbicides, and pesticides are banished; hemp and bamboo are the only natural resources used for production; all corporations and industries collapse and we resort back to small family-owned businesses; war is a fairy tale; mainstream media delivers the truth; wealthy people actually care for the underprivileged and use their resources to end poverty; indigenous tribes live free without corporations threatening their survival; sonar testing is not allowed in the oceans and humans do not impede on marine life; and money does not rule our lives.

He knows that we all would be happy if this were accomplished.
