This book is in very good condition. There are corner knocks but nor tear. The back edge is stained from handling. This is a reprint of a book 1st published by Oliver and Boyd in their series University Reviews in Botany. This reprint makes minor corrections. The book reviews the information available on soil micro-organisms and their ecology and introduces the subject to agriculturists, biologists, and earth scientists. It contains a new assessment of microflora and stresses the inter-relationships between microbes, plants and organic debris.
