The book provides an analysis of the erosion process. It considers soil and water conservation problems and solutions around the world and in many different situations including agricultural, engineering, mining, urban, rangeland and forest sites. The influence of pollution and other environmental factors on the preferred solution to conservation problems is discussed together with economic considerations. There is also consideration of how society and government influence soil and water conservation.
