Maria’s a beautiful woman who is married to Javier; a criminal and powerful man in the community. They live a luxurious lifestyle in a fabulous beach house in Mazatlán, Mexico. After waking up from a coma, caused by a horrific car accident, Maria is diagnosed with Amnesia. Struggling to remember her life, the family doctor puts Maria on an experimental medication to help with her memory loss, but she is told she may never recall her past life.

Esmeralda, who is not only her housekeeper but a supportive friend, shares stories with Maria on a daily basis in hopes of renewing her memories about her life before the accident. Javier, Maria’s husband, is a self absorbed man who is obsessed with making money and gaining power. He struggles with managing his Human Trafficking business and providing Maria with the attention she needs for her recovery.

After months of recovering, Maria starts to feel like she can move on until strange things begin to happen. She starts questioning everything when she comes across old photographs, hidden rooms in her house and questionable stories from her ‘friends’.

Over time she struggles to trust her husband, the stories told to her, and is besieged by recurring ‘dreams’. Eventually, Maria learns the truth about her medical condition, her husband’s business of human trafficking and her former life.
