Solomon the Whale

My love of soccer, the ocean, and the good guy finishing first, I wrote these stories for my young children who looked forward with excitement to each one. I hope you and your family will enjoy them

Warren Gilmore was born in England, where he discovered a lifelong love of football (soccer) and a team to champion, the Cardiff City Bluebirds. At the age of fifteen he accompanied his parents to Los Angeles, California. There, his Daddy would take him fishing off the coast. One day he caught a little fish, and with a little help, got it out of the water. This experience was the inspiration for his love of the ocean and what later became a collection of stories about Solomon, the friendly whale. Warren continued his schooling through graduation from ULCA. He became a CPA, married and began a family-Daughter Ilsel (Lesli), son Kram (Mark) and daughter Nibor (Robin). He was one of the first coaches -Coach Gilmore - when soccer gained a following in the U.S. During these years, he told Nibor stories of Solomon and wrote them down when there were too many to remember. These stories, which always included his wife Pat, Ilsel, Kram and Nibor remained unread for over 25 years and have just come to light. Warren is delighted to share them with you.
