First of this edition, 1891. Very good in blue pebbled cloth. Light wear at corners and edges. Bookstore stamp, no former owner marks. Ostwald, a Baltic German chemist and philosopher, is credited with being one of the founders of the field of physical chemistry. He was awarded the Nobel Prize in Chemistry in 1909.
