Solved Problems in Solid State Physics contains more than five hundred solved problems, covering the latest developments in the area of solid state physics, including recent findings on topics such as high temperature superconductivity and nanomaterials. The book fuses pedagogical introductions and sections of worked problems to guide students on their physics education journey. Over one hundred books and journals have been referred to in the preparation of this book, and references and resources are clearly stated in each chapter. It is a culmination of years of teaching and research for more than four decades.Problems have been chosen in the areas of solid state physics, material science, and metallurgy, and ancillary material provides detailed theory and lectures summarizing the problems. Dr. Asokamani has published textbooks on solid physics which incorporate much content on fundamentals and theory, and this book is an expansion on these topics, concentrating fully on worked problems. This will enable students, research scholars, and faculty members to gain a better understanding on the principles involved in various topics and their varied applications. Shipping may be from multiple locations in the US or from the UK, depending on stock availability.
