Solving Algebra Word Problems

Drawing from her 30 years of experience teaching algebra, Judy Barclay wrote SOLVING ALGEBRA WORD PROBLEMS to help students build confidence as they learn to solve word problems algebraically. Using a five-step strategy, Barclay takes the frustration out of solving word problems by providing lots of worked examples and plenty of exercises for students to hone their skills at problem solving. Practice makes perfect, and as students follow the steps in this book they will gain confidence as they strengthen valuable problem-solving skills that can be put to good use in other courses, including science and statistics. SOLVING ALGEBRA WORD PROBLEMS is the type of book that students will want to keep as a handy reference for future courses.
