Very clean hardcover book and dust jacket. Golden cloth boards with unchipped gold lettering on spine. No bumping, no fading, no wear. Binding is tight and square, hinges are sound. Pages and edges are clean. Clean endpapers - no names, writing or marks. With 110 photo illustrations. 128 pages. Clean dust jacket is unchipped, not price clipped, no tears; slight age-toning; enclosed in new archival quality removable mylar cover. Four newspaper articles relating to Maugham are laid in. A wonderful assessment of the life and writing of this much-loved author, who was a highly acclaimed public figure, but reticent about his private life.
