About this Item
A smart early edition of the debut full-length novel from American writer Gene Stratton Porter. Early edition, originally published 1913. The author's debut full-length novel. Following the life of a red bird living along the Wabash River, explaining in detail how birds live in the wild with fictional adventures. Written by Gene Stratton Porter, an American writer, nature photographer, and naturalist. Dated from the dust wrapper. In the original blue cloth binding. Externally, very smart with minor rubbing to the extremities only. Original unclipped dust wrapper is sound with light wear and minor chipping. Light sunning to the spine with the odd small mark. The odd small closed tear to the panel edges with minor loss to the rear panel. Front hinge just starting but firm. Internally, firmly bound.
