4to. Unpaginated (32pp). Illustrated olive cloth in original color illustrated dust jacket. Golden blind-stamped Caldecott (paper) medal pasted on dj. Price-clipped dj with later stamped price "$ 2.25." The work won the 1950 Caldecott Medal & Honor Books award. Delightful tale of the friendship between Juan, a little boy from the California town Capistrano and Julian, the old gardener and bell-ringer at the Mission of San Juan Capistrano. Profusely illustrated with color reproductions of drawings by Leo Politi. Minor chipping on head and tail of dj spine. Minor rubbing on dj spine, slight creasing and rubbing to parts of dj edges. USPS Media mail is typically $5 for a book of average weight. Priority mail varies, depending on whether USPS flat-rates are applicable and advantageous for the dimension, weight and distance.
International:
International First Class typically starts at $20. International Priority is typically $35 or less if under four pounds weight, and starts at $40 if over four pounds. International Express is a faster and more expensive option.
