Getting better results from the Sony DSC-RX100 VII begins with understanding what its controls and settings actually do—not simply leaving the camera in Auto mode.
The Sony DSC-RX100 VII packs powerful photography and video features into a compact camera, including a versatile 24–200mm zoom lens, advanced autofocus, Real-Time Tracking, Eye AF, high-speed continuous shooting, 4K video, and creative shooting options. But with so many buttons, menu settings, focus choices, exposure controls, and recording options, learning how to use everything confidently can quickly feel overwhelming.
Sony DSC-RX100 VII User Guide for Beginners provides a practical, step-by-step path from initial setup and everyday camera operation to controlling exposure, mastering autofocus, capturing action, recording video, and making better use of the camera’s advanced features.
Inside this guide, you'll learn how to:
- Get Started with Confidence: Unbox your camera, charge and install the battery, choose a compatible memory card, complete the initial setup, and prepare the RX100 VII for everyday shooting
- Master the Controls & Menus: Understand the buttons, dials, control ring, control wheel, touchscreen, Fn menu, customizable controls, My Menu, and essential menu navigation
- Take Control of Exposure: Learn how Intelligent Auto, Program Auto, Aperture Priority, Shutter Priority, and Manual Exposure work, along with shutter speed, aperture, ISO, and Memory Recall settings
- Master Autofocus & Action Shooting: Use Real-Time Tracking, Eye AF, Touch Focus, continuous autofocus, drive modes, burst shooting, self-timers, and high-speed shooting for moving subjects
- Make Better Use of the 24–200mm Zoom: Understand focal length, optical and digital zoom, Clear Image Zoom, composition, stabilization, and practical techniques for wide-angle and telephoto shooting
- Improve Low-Light & Flash Photography: Work with the pop-up flash, electronic viewfinder, ISO, slower shutter speeds, available light, and stabilization for challenging shooting conditions
- Record 4K Video & Slow Motion: Set up 4K and Full HD recording, understand frame rates and bit rates, use HLG and S-Log picture profiles, explore High Frame Rate recording, and work with video stabilization
- Explore Vlogging, Connectivity & Creative Shooting: Use the tilting monitor, external microphone, Touch Tracking, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, smartphone transfer, remote shooting, Scene Selection, Sweep Panorama, and other creative features
The guide is structured for both step-by-step learning and quick reference, so you can work through it from beginning to end or go directly to the control, setting, or shooting technique you need. The manuscript also includes dedicated quick-reference sections for technical specifications, controls and the mode dial, troubleshooting, and photography terminology.
Stop jumping between menus and scattered tutorials whenever you want to change a setting. Build the practical skills you need to understand your Sony DSC-RX100 VII, make smarter shooting decisions, and capture photos and videos with greater confidence.

Store description
**Please note our transit times are from the date of dispatch.** We first started out as “The Paperback Exchange,” a chain of physical bookstores where we would part exchange your beloved books for new stories to transport you to faraway places. However, as shopping started to evolve to online shops and marketplaces, we bid our stores goodbye to become “PBShop.” This transition has only allowed us to blossom as we now ship thousands of titles to book lovers across the globe. We pride ourselves in being a community of local book lovers which allows our passion and devotion to shine in everything we do. In 2020 we not only celebrated our 20th birthday but our 1st birthday as being completely employee owned after becoming an E.O.T in September 2019. We are proud to be different and embrace standing apart on a book mountain by working from a virtual inventory which allows us to provide thousands of books that may be difficult to get for your bookshelf or your studies. Working with a number of different suppliers allows us to explore other avenues such as puzzles, sheet music and even stationery so we really do have something for everyone. Life is about being versatile in all realms of existence. If this is your first purchase with us, or you are a returning customer, we would like to welcome you to the PBShop family, for there is no friend as loyal as a book. We are a company who put our customers at the centre of everything we do as we understand the importance of reading because once you learn to read, you will forever be free. There are a whole lot of things in this world of ours that we are yet to explore, which is why we will forever inspire curious minds.…
