As the eighth of twelve children, Cate began observing humanity at an early age. An avid reader and writer, she has always had a passion for exploring human behavior. After wandering through college, she graduated with degrees in English and French and a BA in Education. With big plans to see the world, her travels have taken her to live on four continents: North America, Africa, Australia, and Europe, where she worked with different Shamans to understand native traditions. Cate's home base is Washington State, in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. It was there that she achieved her greatest accomplishment of raising three fine sons, all off now on their own splendid trajectories. On the side, she owned and ran multiple businesses, including a multi-million dollar medical equipment company, a commercial development company, and an FAA flight school. During her aviation years, she particularly loved observing how learning to fly empowered people, especially women and teens. After selling her business in 2012 and 2014, she decided to focus on empowering people through her writing. In 2013, she published her first book, Silent Sky. This mystery, set in Seattle, tells the tale of a badass young female defense attorney (who happens to be an aviatrix) assigned to defend a mute woman accused of attempted murder. It is a rolicking adventure with a message of empowerment. In 2014, Cate earned her Life Coaching certificate through the Tony Robbins school of coaching, and began officially using her life-long skills of mentoring, teaching, and guiding to help people who were suffering and lost. It is from all of these cumulative experiences that she derives the wisdom to put into her books, such as Soul Primer. Cate continues to coach and write spiritual wisdom to help make the world a better place (as well as poetry to nourish the soul). She is an inspirational speaker, ordained minister, meditation teacher, and part-time shaman.
