Soul Searching

In modern day Seattle, Soul Searching explores the possibilities of a soul abruptly exiting one lifetime and entering the next lifetime split between two people.

Bess Stokes is born with a twin brother, Jess, with whom she never quite makes the typical twin connections. She is haunted by an emptiness she cannot explain. She traverses the early years of her life coming to grips with the insecurities that limit her relationships and accepting the realization that she is a lesbian.

Her attempts to find love and fill her emptiness lead Bess through the trials and betrayals of friends and lovers, until she finds Lucy, her soul mate. Settled into the comfort of a committed and loving relationship, life seems less complicated for Bess, and her life-long emptiness is held at bay. But Bess's challenges have only just begun.
