About the Authors

Lonán Ó Briain is Professor of Ethnomusicology at the University of Nottingham, UK. He is the author of Voices of Vietnam: A Century of Radio, Red Music, and Revolution (2022) and Musical Minorities: The Sounds of Hmong Ethnicity in Northern Vietnam (2018).

Min-Yen Ong is an Associate Teaching Fellow in Ethnomusicology and Popular Music at the University of Cambridge, UK and has previously taught at the University of Nottingham, University of Sheffield and SOAS, University of London.
