Limited Edition of 175 copies, this copy no.163. 8vo, xxi + pp589 complete with b/w photographic portrait of author, an introduction by Vera Brittain "Ave Atque Vale - An Epitaph" and the original publishers box with white title label and matching limitation number, all three only available with this special edition. Presentation box in fair condition with split to lid, rubbing and wear to all edges and rubbing to green cloth covered card. Hardcover issued without dust jacket. Original binding of vellum spine over green cloth boards with leather titles label and titles and borders in gilt in very good condition with a few small marks to boards and spine. Inside old gift inscription to FFE paper with hand written limitation page and portrait loose but present. The odd spot of foxing to first few pages and fore edge of rough cut pages, otherwise all pages with lovely bright top edge gilt gilt in very good condition. A very nice copy in it's original box with matching limitation number. Extremely Scarce.
