Book #6 in the 20-book YA series penned by under the same pseudonym as the author of the Hardy Boys, featuring intrepid young aviator, Ted Scott. The actual principal author, John W. Duffield, who also contributed to the Don Sturdy and Bomba the Jungle Boy series, was a "conscientious student of aeronautics." Orig. published in 1928, this is a slightly later printing of that FIRST EDITION, listing to Self & to HB#6 in front matter, but to TS#12 in rear. In the original RED cloth binding, in 215 pages + additional pages of other boys' G&D titles, glossy (not plain) frontispiece by Walter S. Rogers. Condition is Good: very clean & bright, with the occasional spot, binding strong & straight, hinges intact. Interior pages show light tanning, commensurate with age; no foxing. Minor rubbing to extremities, slight corner bumping, light soil; spine is quite faded, with some bleached spots & fraying. Former owner's name stamps with 1931 date to ffep;, else unmarked. NO DJ.
