New York: Dodd Mead, 1925. First Edition Thus. Very Good/No Dustjacket. First American Edition to be printed and bound in the U.S. (Prior First U.S. Edition 1918 was printed on sheets imported from Great Britain and bound in orange cloth boards, exceedingly rare). This edition bound in blue cloth boards with stamped gold lettering on cover and spine. Light surface wear at top and bottom spine edges, small ink spot to lower right corner of front board (size of large pea). No bumping. Binding is tight, no cracking. Pages and edges are clean and bright. Lovely endpapers illustrated by des Rosiers; tasteful previous owner bookplate on front fixed endpaper. 413 pgs. Seller Inventory # 016935
