Southern Railways in the Latter Days of Steam: Waterloo to Weymouth Including the Isle of Wight

Published in 2005 by Book Law Publications in hardback with dustjacket, this book 'Southern Railways in the Latter Days of Waterloo to Weymouth Including the Isle of Wight' was written by Malcolm Castledine, who took all of the wonderful photos in this book. The author felt that the last years of steam on the Southern (1965-1967), had to be photographed. The author performed the same duties to history photographing the last steam locomotives of the North-East in 1967, seeing the last of the J27, K1, Q6 and WD classes running. The author believes that there were possibly a couple of other steam enthusiasts documenting the decline of steam on on the Southern. Contains 104 black and white plates of locomotives and railway items with a few sentences of introduction on each one combining observation, chat, and fact in a very interesting album, one which the enthusiast will thoroughly enjoy.
