Newspaper. Approx. 24" x 18". Folded. Light toning and scattered foxing to the paper. Light edge wear at top. Old ink name top of the first page. Issue has 4 pages. Contents include a notice for a Cherokee land lot by James Smith (author of the Cherokee Land Lottery), a notice that the Oglethorpe House, Columbus Georgia was purchased and will be improved; a visitor's remark on Warm Springs, Meriwether County. Also included is a $50 reward for the "apprehension of my boy Alfred" (Alfred was a mulatto Slave who ran off with a mule). P.P. Vincent, Slave owner, states "I have no doubt but he will try to pass as a white man, but a little scrutiny will make it plain that he is a Negro."
