1911. No Edition Remarks. 463 pages. No dust jacket. Red cloth with gilt decoration. Contains colour map frontispiece, with black and white photographs throughout. Vol. I. Pages remain bright and clear. Visible marking to some pages throughout, but text is not affected. Binding is firm. Previous owner's inscription to front pastedown. Boards have heavy shelf-wear, with visible corner bumping and noticeable scuffing to edges. Spine and edges are heavily tanned, with visible crushing and splitting to ends. Gilt remains bright. Heavy rubbing and scuffing overall, with visible marking also. Book has a slight forward lean.
