Bright red hardcovers (binder's cloth) with gilt decoration and title on the spine, 4 1/2" x 6 1/4", gilt is bright and covers are very good to very good+ with only very light soiling and wear; internally the original soft covers were not bound in; book begins with single page (1 pg. missing) of preface from the American Sports Publishing Co., followed by advertisements and portraits of A. G. Spalding and editor, John B. Foster, title page, contents page and introduction, followed by 353 pages of text: 1912 League schedule; World Series of 1911, club rosters of the leagues; National League Season of 1911, Professional Baseball Leagues Rules, American League Season of 1911, Texas League, St. Louis Nationals, Pittsburgh, St. Louis Americans, Philadelphia Athletics, etc); hundreds of black-and-white illustrations (teams, actual plays within the games,etc); book has 3 tears at bottom right - one repaired in advertisement; 2 others - graduating as a wedge from 1/4" to 1" piece missing - text is of Mayor of New York's visit and John Foster's editorial - (light stamp to front end paper and square area of very light abrasion to inside cover. light signs of age -- overall very good. f. …
