Kyle Tracy is a small town police chief who is often irresistably driven to locate lost things. Lost keys, lost information, lost souls. Often before anyone complains these things are missing. He hates it. It has been an embarrassment to himself and his parents since he was a child. This time, the lost item he finds is a child, half dead in the Arizona desert. His efforts to find her origins lead him to a disturbed woman's plans to sacrifice one life for another and puts one of Kyle's own children in danger. Kyle must trust the ability he has always considered a curse, and hope it is enough.

Bonnie Brown was born in New York State, in Delaware County, moved to Florida as an adult, married, raised a son and worked as a Dietary Superivisor at a mental healthcare facility. What she really wanted to do was write, and now retired, she has no excuses not to give it an earnest effort.
