Sparks of Change

Harper Jones is just trying to get through sixth grade in a neighborhood that doesn't always feel safe. Then an encounter with an ancient protector spirit changes everything - Harper is chosen to carry a responsibility far bigger than herself. With her friends Eva, Chantel, and Deja by her side, Harper has to figure out what it means to be chosen, how to use a power she doesn't yet understand, and how to protect the people and place she loves without losing who she is. Sparks of Change is Book One in the Voltera series - a full-color illustrated novel with graphic-novel-influenced panel art. Includes a companion TEKS-aligned reading guide.
