Surface temperature in urban areas of the Western province in Sri Lanka has been dramatically increased during recent years. About the Author

She is currently serving as a GIS Specialist of GFATM Project, Ministry of Health, Sri Lanka. She obtained a B.A degree in Geography and Postgraduate Diploma in Geo-informatics from the University of Colombo, Sri Lanka and reading for an MSc in the same University.
