The poems in this chapbook are written about the events surrounding the bombing of Pan Am 103 over Lockerbie, Scotland, on Dec 21, 1988. Elizabeth’s son Nicholas, a student at Syracuse University at the time, was returning home for the Christmas holidays after spending a semester abroad in England, and he was on that fatal flight. The final poem by Nicholas was written in 1988, the year he perished in the Lockerbie crash.
